Learning is for life. A realization I had quickly during my time at LSA. My first job after graduation showed me that staying curious was not only beneficial to my work, but also something I enjoyed. Whether that be learning more about development, user research methods, or project management, there's always something to add to the toolbelt.

From 2016 to 2022, I worked as the Web/Interactive Designer for the South Carolina General Assembly’s Legislative Services Agency, but my role far beyond that title. As the agency’s sole designer, I was also responsible for shaping and maintaining a consistent brand identity across both digital and print media, reshaping processes, and advocating for our customers.

My Typical Day

• Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers and engineers.

• Lead redesigns for legacy applications, occasionally implementing the changes myself

• Conduct interviews and learn about legacy processes

• Develop and maintain agency branding and marketing through physical and digital media

• Create and revise thorough documentation of configurations, procedures and protocols
